Seroquel Side Effects: My Two Brothers' Reaction to This Drug

This article is about the side effects of seroquel. Seroquel is an medication option for bipolar disorder. My two brother's were on seroquel 300 mg tablets. Mind you my brother's are only 16 and 14. The were not diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but the doctor said they had ADHD. I know for a fact that one of them have ADHD, but the older one did not have ADHD.

Some side effects of seroquel include dry mouth, drowsiness, high triglycerides, headaches, agitation, dizziness, high cholesterol, weakness, constipation, fatigue, indigestion, heartburn, vomiting, increased appetite, lethargy, nasal congestion, abdominal pain, back pain, weight gain, shakiness (tremors), sore throat, fever, rapid heart rate, irritated or runny nose, vision problems, signs of diabetes, suicidal thoughts, fainting or dizziness when going from a sitting or lying down position to a standing position, feelings of internal restlessness or jitteriness, any abdominal muscle movements (these abdominal movements can become permanent if seroquel is not stopped quickly), signs or symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome which can include high fever, stiff muscles, confusion, irregular pulse or high blood pressure, increased heart rate, sweating, irregular heart rhythms. Signs of an allergic reaction contains unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Rare side effects of seroquel includes anemia, vertigo, increased or decreased sex drive, teeth grinding, neck pain, yeast infection, increased salivation, gas, hemorrhoids, canker soars, migraine headaches, cough, nose bleed, acne, eczema, impotence, dry eyes, tinnitus, low thyroid or over active thyroid.

Some more side effects of seroquel include depression, mania and schizophrenia. There are a lot of side effects associated with seroquel and I only listed some signs of what my brother's have gone through.

My brother's were on a 300 mg tablet and if anybody knows the pill seroquel, then they know that high of a dose will knock and elephant out in about a half an hour.
