As many have found, one of the simplest and most effective ways to gather this type of valuable feedback is through surveys, done either online or sent around the office. However, while the survey has been shown to be effective in documenting responses, sometimes the amount of effort that goes into creating the survey can be more trouble than it's worth. Thankfully, there is a solution, and that solution is known as Survey Monkey.
For those who are not aware, Survey Monkey is an online service which allows users to create surveys and then provides a link to them so that they can be sent through e-mail or posted on a web page. However, before we even begin to review the service, let us first become aware of one thing: Survey Monkey is not free, and fee is $19.95 per month.
So, before one subscribes for the website, it is important to consider if you are going to be using it enough, or getting enough information from it that it will be able to justify that cost. Those that do need to create surveys frequently, or who are in urgent need for information, though, will find that Survey Monkey is truly a great service, and that it can do wonders for a business.
To start with, unlike some survey creation web sites that can be found online, Survey Monkey is very easy to use. The interface is simple, and going back and fixing a mistake is just as easy as creating the survey the first time around. Editing the questions and responses takes only a small amount of time, and creating the survey itself is equally as pain free and simple as making up the questions and answers.
There is no limit to the questions that can be used on a single survey, unlike some website which charge different fees depending on the amount of questions, or require different types of accounts for this. However, the many benefits of Survey Monkey do not stop at the simple ease of use.
Those who are looking for valuable information will find Survey Monkey very rewarding. When one logs into his or her account while a survey is in progress, the incoming results are displayed in real time, in an effective and easy to read manner. The survey, when during creation, also allows the user to set up questions that can be skipped if they are not applicable. For example, if you send out a survey to your employees, and some of the questions only deal with human resources, it can be automatically set to skip those questions for a given set of employees.
After the results have been gathered, Survey Monkey becomes even more valuable to those who are using it. The website itself can analyze the results and let you know if there is a clear pattern among them, and it can also automatically attempt to detect cases of bias or responses of a fraudulent nature. The results that are eventually gathered can be saved to your individual computer and then manipulated further in Microsoft Excel if you wish to present the results at a meeting or display them in some way, this can be especially useful if you plan to have a large meeting and want to display some data on your customers. Also, if you simply wish others to view the survey, there are links available which will give others the results.
From the ease of use of Survey Monkey, to the way in which it never fails or does not deliver it's promises, it is simply one of the best survey websites on the internet. Although there are many choices out there, when it comes to ease of use, reliability, and the ability to manipulate or interpret your final data, there really is no equal to Survey Monkey. The website can be a truly excellent tool for those who want to gather data about their customers or who want to find out how their employees feel about something.
