Some of the advantages of hiring someone like you are that a person does not have to wait for what seems like a very long time for a Sheriff to deliver the subpoena and if they were to hire someone like you, you could inform them of the delivery soon after it takes place unlike a Sheriff's office.
Since you will be working to bring subpoenas to people and attorneys or others will be hiring you, you have the ability to set your own rates. Serving subpoenas can bring in a lot of money if you are working for an agencies but it will not make your rich or anywhere near it. Most places pay around $5 or more per page that has to be served. This may not seem like a lot but it can add up especially since most subpoenas are at least a few pages.
A sheriff's office may charge around $20 to $30 to provide this service but they also do it at a much slower rate and they often do not notify the individual that the subpoena has been served. If you are really wanting to get in good with the clients then you can set up an email address or make a phone call allowing them to know exactly when the subpoena was served and charge a little more for your services. Most sheriff offices take anywhere from a few days to more than a week to serve out subpoenas since they are usually busy doing other work.
Some who serve subpoenas have even went as far as setting up a website for all of the attorney offices to check in to see if the subpoena was served and when it was served.
Serving subpoenas can be rewarding but also very dangerous. There are a lot of Private Investigators who have went as far as getting their armed license to serve out subpoenas so that they can protect yourself. Although it may not be required by law in your state to have a Private Investigator license it still might be a good idea to obtain this and your armed license.
If you want to do something a little different with your career as a person who serves subpoenas you could also become a bounty hunter. Bounty hunters also work to serve subpoenas and they sometimes hire individuals to quickly get the job done.

Post a CommentThis is an interesting article and very informative but your abhorrent grammar takes away from the article.
"Some who serve subpoenas have even went as far as..." Really?
How about "have gone as far?" If you want to be a writer, you should really brush up on your grammar. You won't go very far without a solid grasp on proper writing skills.
