We live less than five minutes from Sesame Place and spend quite a bit of our summer there making fabulous memories. The park is on the smaller side, which is perfect for children. There are rides, shows, water activities and lots of designated play areas. Children up to the age of seven will have a complete blast running from activity to activity.
Big Bird's Balloon Race ride offers a 40-foot high balloon overlook of the park. Ernie's Bed Bounce is literally a giant, squishy mattress that is bundles of fun to bounce around on. Nest & Climbs is a three story high net and tunnel Wonderland, my children go absolutely nuts climbing and rolling through it! Smaller children will love Twiddle Tracks; a slower moving, fun packed train ride.
The park's water activities are our favorites. Bert & Ernie's Slip & Slide is a large body flume that dumps you into a giant pool at the end of the slide. Little Bird's Birdbath is essentially a large, shallow swimming pool with an area for parents to dip their feet in the water while supervising their children splashing around. Big Bird's Rambling River is our "go-to" ride when the kids are getting worn out. We can share a tube with them and simply float around Sesame Island.
Elmo's World is fabulous. It features rides and an interactive show, full of lively songs and features that encourage imagination. The Rock Around the Block parade is amazing. You'll see all your favorite characters as they march down Sesame Street, singing, dancing and interacting with the crowd.
The daily rate is $47.50 for a single day pass, however you can also purchase a two-day pass for the same price. The two-day pass must be used during the same season, in other words it is not useable the following year. This would be a fantastic option for families visiting the park on a weekend. Children under 23 months are admitted for free. There are various Sesame Place "Passports" available that offers perks such as free parking, discounts on merchandise and more. The Passports perks range in price according to the option you choose.
