'Sesame Street' Google Images: Images, Logos, and Doodles at Google Celebrate 'Sesame Street' Anniversary

Sesame Street Google images are adorable. Sesame Street Google Doodles, or images all celebrate Sesame Street's 40th anniversary. The Sesame Street Google images celebration began last Wednesday with Big Bird featured on the Google Doodle.

We were in for a treat when we woke up Thursday morning to the Cookie Monster Google Doodle. The Cookie Monster Sesame Street Google image brought back controversies of whether or not Cookie Monster was to turn in to Veggie monster. According to TechBanyan, Cookie Monster will remain the Cookie Monster for now.

Friday, our favorite friends Bert and Ernie graced the Sesame Street Google images. Again, we were taken back to controversies surrounding the duo such as the looming question: "are Bert and Ernie Gay?."

Saturday morning, Oscar the Grouch was featured on the Google Images logo. Oscar appeared out of an open manhole instead of his signature trash can. This means that Oscar wasn't left alone, and he was probably back to his grouchy self by the time Sunday rolled around.

Elmo...who doesn't love Elmo, Sesame Street's Sunday Google image character? Remember Tickle Me Elmo dolls? They were introduced to the public in 1997 and took America by storm. Fights rolled out at Wal-Marts, K-Marts, and Toys R Us locations throughout the US, as parents literally fought to purchase a red, furry, vibrating doll for their children in 1997. The release price was $28.88 and according to Wikipedia, newspaper classified ads sold the toy for as much as $1,500. Can you imagine how much those toys would have sold for on eBay???

Today we have the Count gracing our Google Sesame Street images. He's standing next to Google, which is spelled "600813" today. Of course, the 3 is backwards so that it looks like the "e" on Google. The Count should be extremely popular this year, given the fact that Vampires are sooo in because of series such as Twilight and True Blood.

The Sesame Street Google celebration will most likely conclude on November 10, which is the show's true 40th anniversary. What will be in store for Sesame Street enthusiasts tomorrow? Will there be a full cast, or will we finally get to see Snuffy?

Sesame Street has been the show that has raised generations of children. For the past 40 years, the cast of Sesame Street and Jim Henson's masterpiece Sesame Street Muppets have made children love learning.

Chances are, even if you are an adult you know the Sesame Street theme song. You may even remember a Sesame Street song or two. It's been a great week thanks to Google and Sesame Street. They've really brought back the child in all of us.
