Sesame Street Plush Characters

When my son was younger, he never really understood who Elmo was. Just recently, when he turned two all of a sudden he is interested in Sesame Street and all of the characters. His favorite ones are Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big bird, and Ernie. Fortunately, I was able to find the Sesame Street Plush Elmo, Plush Cookie Monster, and Plush Ernie at my local Target. Each one sold separately cost $4.99. It was so worth it. My son loves to have "nap" time and "night night" time sleeping with his new Plush friends from Sesame Street.

The Plush Elmo is red, of course. The Plush Elmo is blue, and the Plush Ernie looks just like the Ernie from the show. I have not been able to locate the Plush Big Bird in a store yet but I have seen them online. That is the next one I will be purchasing for my son.

The quality is great. My son throws them into his crib every night and they have not fallen apart yet. Sometimes my son gets so excited when he plays with them that he will bite on them and pull them with his teeth. They still have not ripped or seem raggedy. They are still in great condition. We have them for about a month now. My 115-pound golden/lab mix got a hold of Plush Cookie Monster but nothing happened. He didn't rip or tear. Unfortunately, my son threw up one night and Plush Elmo happened to be on the receiving end of it. Luckily I was able to hand wash lightly just the spots he threw up on and Plush Elmo was good as new. I took my hair dryer and dried off the wet spot where I washed it and the next day my son was able to sleep with him, good as new.

I have other little Elmo's and they are nowhere as soft and cuddly as these Plush ones are. They are so real it is scary. These are my son's new best friends. The Plush characters that I bought at target for $4.99 are the 6-inch characters. You can find the same 6-inch characters on sale at Amazon.com for $6.29. What I also like about these characters is that there aren't any buttons or strings for my son to choke on. I feel safe when I let him sleep with them. My son also has a child size Elmo that he likes to play with but I don't let him sleep with that one because I am afraid it could smother him. That is why I like the 6-inch ones so much better. You can also buy the 6 inch plush Elmo at Toys R Us for $6.99. Out of all the stores, Target was definitely the cheapest.
