Moonlight -
Iridescent
Shimmering lunar beams
Gleaming through my upstairs window
Softly.
Iridescent
Shimmering lunar beams
Gleaming through my upstairs window
Softly.
Nighttime...
In the stillness,
Dark shadows cross my mind
Echoes and whispers of my past
Intrude.
Wakeful,
Restlessly I lie
Staring at the shadows
On the floor; haunted by my thoughts
And dreams.
Slumber -
Elusive sleep - comes calling now.
The silv'ry moonlight pales,
And morning breaks
Anew.
Sunrise,
Haunting reveries now faded;
Shadows disappeared.
Time to greet a
New day.
