Set Fire to the Bird: Burn Notice on Twitter

Important Burn Notice People on Twitter

Alledria Hurt
Twitter, oh Twitter, how you have become a staple of the online community scene. 140 characters of information flying at unbelievable speeds from one computer to the next and then out to phones. You have revolutionized our world, yet again.

This article is not about Twitter. Forgive me for waxing momentarily poetic. This is about Burn Notice and the Burn Notice people fans should be following on Twitter now that the finale of Season 3 has left us with far too much downtime on our hands. Yes, some of these are not necessarily people, in the human sense, but we can forgive them for that and follow them anyway. First and foremost on the follow list:

@BurnNotice_USA: The official Twitter for the show. If you can only have one Twitter feed, make it this one because along with its own content, it consistently retweets (reposts) information from Matt Nix and Jeffrey Donovan, two others we will cover momentarily.

@BNWrites: The scribbling monkeys who write the jokes and plot the crazy. Sometimes they will show love to other shows (White Collar), but mostly they just talk about all the little things in Burn Notice we know and love, like explosions. They also give you a glimpse into how the creative process for the show runs (how they come up with the ideas for scenarios, etc).

@MattNix_TV: The almighty creator of our obsession. For that alone, he should be followed by a million C4 carrying lemmings willing to do his bidding. Read closely and you just might catch him giving away a spoiler or two. Just kidding.

@Jeffrey_Donovan: Michael Westen, our leading man, the burned spy who makes Burn Notice what it is. Mr. Donovan can seem somewhat like the shy type as he does not tweet a whole lot, but following him is more than worth it for the occasional tweet and picture, in my estimation.

@TedonTv: Ted Linhart, Vice President of Program Research. Yeah, when I read that the first time I had no idea who he was either and could not fathom what a guy who actually goes to board meetings could have to do with Burn Notice. As you can see from the fact that he is included on this list of people Burn Notice fans should be following, my opinion has gotten a bit of a revamp. This is the man with the inside scoop and not just on Burn Notice. If you happen to care about other USA Network shows, it only adds to his importance. Follow him, you will not regret it. You might even win something.

Unfortunately, though they are very well loved, Sharon Gless (Madeline Westen/Michael's Mom), Bruce Campbell (ex-Navy Seal buddy of Mike's Sam Axe), and Gabrielle Anwar (the trigger happy girlfriend Fiona Glenanne) are not on Twitter. Otherwise, I would be telling you to follow them too.

Thanks for the Twitter info. One correction, though: Matt Nix's ID is now @MattNixTV with no underscore.
