Set free is fast becoming a house hold name in El Cajon Ca. Set free ministries has been in the sandiego area for over 5 years helping the homeless find help in their time of need, along with sending the younger members of the ministry out to be a blessing to their community. They paint houses, pick up trash, and even help people move at no charge. What kind of people are these that would spend 6-10 hours a day working for no pay? The men and woman of Set Free who at one time was either homeless, or in jail because of drug or alcohol addiction. 2 years ago Set Free started going into the jails to minister to men and woman who for one reason or another made some bad choices. They started with writing 1 or 2 letters a week to encourage inmates to seek Christ in their lives, now after 2 years they are getting 8- 13 letters per day , from inmates requesting bible studies, bibles and copies of their prison news letter called the prayer cloth. When Set Free started going to court for people the courts were skeptical about the inmates and prior inmates sincerity about changing their lives, however within 2 years the courts and parole agents along with local law enforcement have come to rely on set free to help the community clean up its image. Set Free was the best choice I ever made in my life. I change my life completely for the better. I wouldn't change it for anything in this world. If it wasn't for me going there god only knows where I would be right now. Yes I'm still doing real good. I miss everyone at set free in El Cajon, Ca. I miss all my friends or should I say my family.

James McQueen is a liar!!! He lied about the abuse that I received in the house that he headed. My husband physically abused me in his house under his supervision. I told him what was happening and he did not want me to go to a safe place. He talked me into staying and my husband ended up in jail do to physical abuse. James lied about the whole incident to his superiors and said that it didn't happen. I know for a fact that The El Cajon, CA hotel is being prostituted out and drugs are flying wildly around. The police showed regularly. I was their myself and confronted Tony about the whole thing. He did admit that what I said was true. At least Tony told the truth. Atleast I was blessed by the Lord to escape. I think they should be esposed for what they really are.
i was there for a day when i reallized that there were several drop outs and snitches hiding out there. there was a drop out literally bragging about debriefing on his homeboys. the san diego set free is full of snitches and drop outs.
look my wife and i were caught up in this group and i'll tell you first hand that this is no place for even a convict! they told me and my wife we were going to be together and they would feed us 3 meals a day to read the bible and pray...sounds EASY enough huh? well that was just to get us there, they took my wife to Fab 7 and me to Dulzura, without telling either one of us. Please if you have ne one there or any one that wants to go there. The water level here was 7 feet but the storm surge went to 11 feet. Just last week the demo crews found another body in an attic down the street. As designed it is a single story Integra Block [polyurethane foam filled post tensioned masonry] house on a reinforced concrete post and beam structure supporting a concrete deck and the house.
