Seth Rogen currently stars in The Green Hornet in 3D with Cameron Diaz.

Since debuting in a very minor role in the box office flop Donnie Darko actor and comedian Seth Rogen has gone on to star in 10 movies. Most Seth Rogen movies have been box office hits but a few have flopped.

These are the biggest box office movie hits and flops in Seth Rogen's career.

Seth Rogen's Biggest Box Office Movie Hits

1) Monsters Vs Aliens (2009) - $381 milliondollars worldwide at the box office

In the monster hit Monsters Vs Aliens Seth Rogen provided the voice of B.O.B. who battles evil aliens alongside Susan Murphy voiced by Reese Witherspoon.

2) Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who (2008) - $297 million

Seth Rogen's second biggest grossing film is another animated movie Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who. Rogen voices Morten the Mouse who is Horton's best friend voiced by Jim Carrey. Steve Carell also stars voicing the mayor of Whoville Ned McDodd.

3) Knocked Up (2007) - $219 million

In the hilarious Knocked Up Seth Rogen gets implausibly lucky and has a one night stand with gorgeous Katherine Heigl who ends up pregnant from the affair. This is Seth Rogen's highest grossing non-animated film and it's a good one as the implausibility of the whole thing is what really makes it work.

4) The 40-Year Old Virgin (2005) - $177 million

The 40-Year Old Virgin really helped launch Seth Rogen's movie career as he co-produced and co-stars as Steve Carell's co-worker and tries to help Carell's character lose his virginity. The movie is hilarious at times like when Carell gets his hairy chest waxed and shows off and eventually sells off his toy collection as all the toys are still unopened and hence extremely valuable.

In addition to Horton Hears a Who and The 40-Year Old Virgin Seth Rogen and Steve Carell have also both been in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Carell had a cameo in Knocked Up.

5) Superbad (2007) - $170 million

The funny high school comedy Superbad was co-written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg who finished a first draft while they were still in high school. The main characters in the movie are named Seth and Evan. Rogen also stars in the movie as a crazy cop who sympathizes with the teenagers in the movie.

6) You, Me and Dupree (2006) - $130 million

In comedy You, Me and Dupree Seth Rogen plays Neil the best friend of Dupree played by Owen Wilson. Kate Hudson, Matt Dillon and Michael Douglas also co-star and all have bigger roles than Rogen in this movie which had a $54 million budget.

7) Pineapple Express (2008) - $102 million

Seth Rogen co-wrote Pineapple Express with his Superbad partner Evan Goldberg and stars as a stoner innocently caught up in a murder that is traced back to him because of his use of a rare type of marijuana known as pineapple express. The movie co-stars James Franco who will be co-hosting the Academy Awards in 2011.

Seth Rogen's Biggest Box Office Movie Flops

1) Observe and Report (2009) - $27 million

Observe and Report is the worst grossing movie in Seth Rogen's career to date. While it did earn back its budget of $24 million the movie is not one of Rogen's better efforts as he plays a mall cop chasing down a flasher. Hard to believe but Kevin James is actually better in a similar role in Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

2) Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008) - $42 million

Kevin Smith wrote Zack and Miri Make a Porno which stars Seth Rogen and beautiful Elizabeth Banks as broke roommates who decide to do a porno together to make money. The movie made back its budget of $24 million and then some but doesn't really work.

But how many men can say they had movie affairs with two of the most beautiful women in the world Katherine Heigl and Elizabeth Banks?

3) Funny People (2009) - $72 million

In Funny People Seth Rogen co-stars alongside Adam Sandler who plays the actor and comedian mentor to Rogen's character. To date this is the only Seth Rogen movie that did not earn back its budget which was $75 million.
