Seth Rogen Says George Lucas Believes in World Ending in 2012

Being Labeled is Hard Enough, but when You're George Lucas, Seth Rogen Doing It, Well Life Just Sucks

Donald Pennington
According to actor Seth Rogen, cult-leader George Lucas fears the end of the world in 2012. The actor was giving it up on a discussion printed in the Toronto Sun, about a discussion once between the two, and Steven Spielberg, on the topic of cataclysmic potential end-of-the-world events..

While the Toronto Sun gave the actor enough talking time of his own, and the paper then let his daughter give a "Get over it," to those hung up on it, it seems George Lucas knew he need not even reply.

First of all, how did Seth "Friggin" Rogen get invited to a discussion between George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg? The reporter missed their chance to get the actor to discuss anything of the movie idea itself.

Will George Lucas and Seth Rogen be working together on-screen? Many action performers started out in comedy, or some other specialty, and then went into more serious, dramatic roles. Might this little chat between an up-and-coming actor, and two of Hollywood's most successful directors ever, end up being worth the price of a ticket?

How can an actor who's capable of making these sorts of connections, able to just blab them all over the press? A movie production is an investment, and sometimes arrangements are made upon proprietary information. Anyone who can't keep something this innocuous to themselves, surely can't keep other details from the media. This type of a reputation can be challenging to those looking for work. "Insurability" alone isn't all a new face needs.

Will somebody who can't hold their hand close enough, get to win the game? Not likely. However much publicity it might bring the newer actor, what he really did was tell two screen legends that he can't keep Jack Schitte to himself. Good move, Seth Rogen.

As to 12-12-12, I hear of a cottage industry of preparedness of the end of the world. This intrigues me no end. What does one do to prepare for the real life end? How does one prepare? If it really is the end, what is the point? To be well stocked up when the "poof" happens? I grasped, although did not partake in all the Y2K stuff cause IF that had happened it would have been a temporary end to modernity but still life would go on,but if 12-12-12 is the END, what is there to prepare for? Is this just me? Am I missing something?

Even modern Mayan chiefs pooh-pooh the 2012 predictions, saying we gringos have it all wrong.

I'm not too clear on what the Mayans were ever "accurate" about in the ir predictions. Any civilation mentioned in the "bible" without evidence of existence, was most likely fictional.

While I don't expect the world to end in 2012, the Maya were extremely accurate in their predictions, and I do believe they retained certain knowledge from the "old days", the time before history began, when increasing evidence shows that there were more advanced civilizations that we know little about, the Anunnaki or Nefilim perhaps as mentioned in the Bible. Scientists have shown that the earth's climate goes in cycles, and we know the ice caps are melting. The last couple of years have seen strange weather in many parts of the world, more earthquakes and volcanic activity, and now we have birds, fish and cattle dying en masse. It does make you wonder.

It's amazing that so many seemingly intelligent people fall for these End of the World predictions! I expect to still be here on the Internet in 2013 and beyond!
