Short Term Goals
Short term goals are just as important to set as long term goals. Short term goals are your stepping stones to accomplish your long term goals. Set a monthly goal to help you successfully accomplish your long term goals. Perhaps you are finishing that book. Then maybe you want to set a goal of finishing one or two chapter's a month. This will keep you moving forward to accomplish your goal of publication at the end of the year.

Long Term Goals
You need to aim big. For this reason it is vital to set yearly long term goals. Long term goals will help you see what could be in the future if you stay on a dedicated path to success through out the year. I couldn't agree more. You give us a nice reminder too of how multifaceted writing can be and how setting goals can eliminate some of the potential for becoming overwhelmed. Thank you.
