Do you need to add a fake wound to your Halloween Costume? False wounds are very easy to make. YouTube and MetaCafe have multiple videos illustrating how it is done. Here are seven good videos on making false wounds for your Halloween costume.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #1: Latex wounds. In this YouTube Video, YouTube user Expertvillage details how to use Latex to make a wound, doing an excellent job of faking a skinned wrist.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #2: Will Taylor does an excellent job in this YouTube video by YouTube user AtomicXmisfit. He starts out by describing the materials you will need, then goes on to apply them step by step, explaining how to apply each of the materials for the fake wound and what purpose each one serves.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #3: YouTube user makinthisnthat does an excellent job in this YouTube video faking a somewhat deep cut on his arm. Using a silicone rubber profduct called Skin-tite, he creates a fake wound which is flexible and durable until ready to be removed.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #4: YouTube user Benjaminchu demonstrates how to make fake scars using rubber cement and a set of markers in this YouTube video. His method is pretty detailed and even a bit tedious looking, but comes out very realistic.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #5: False bruises: In this YouTube video, we return to YouTube user Expertvillage as he uses makeup of red, and black to paint an appearent bruise.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #6: Metacafe user JokerAltaei demonstrates how to use a piece of bubblegum to make a fake wound in this MetaCafe video. He takes a bit of a risk using a razor to cut the gum when he could use something a little less sharp, like a butterknife. Then he uses make-up and false blood.

Fake Wound for Halloween Costume Video #7: Metacafe user Smoothon demonstrates how to make a mold, which can be reused to make multiple false wounds for future Halloween costumes. This MetaCafe performance provides a lot of extra details on making the mold and is worth the five minutes it takes to watch as it is very insightful.

What a great idea! I always learn better from watching something being demonstrated and I know plenty of others who also do.
