Seven Fairies Blooming Teas from Tea of Life - Product Review

A Green Tea with Jasmine Blossoming Flowers

JRS
I love drinking teas and trying out different varieties. A couple of years ago I read about blooming flowering teas and wanted to try them but didn't know where I could find them. They come in little balls that expand in hot water and a flower is released after the bulb sits in the hot water for a few minutes.

One day I discovered a box of Seven Fairies Blooming Teas from Tea of Life while shopping at Marshall's. The Seven Fairies variety of Blooming Teas is a green tea with jasmine blossoms. It is a mild tasting green tea that has a slight jasmine fragrance which enhances the tea drinking experience by adding the sense of smell to your enjoyment.

These teas come from a special kind of green tea that is grown in the high mountains. Chinese Artistic Teas, also called Blooming Teas, Artificial Teas or Artistic Teas, are all made by hand with the most complicated technology. The tea pods are actual flowers that are sewn together end to end. This innovative special green tea is made of the highest grade of special tea from fresh spring crops and natural herbal flowers. It offers various health benefits such as delaying the ageing of cells and improving immunity.

Use a clear glass or teapot to achieve the best visual affect. I used my Teavalize Travel Diffuser. Just drop the green tea pod into 5 to 10 ounces of hot water and let brew for at least 10 minutes. A medicinal flower bouquet will be released as the pod opens and a stem of tiny flowers will cascade upward to create a beautiful bloom that can be used more than once. The flowers have actually been sewn together from end to end. Just add more hot water to reuse the bloom and keep the flower flowing upward and beautiful.

The artistic flowers add fragrance and taste to the green tea while creating a beautiful table decoration and conversation starter.

The Tea of Life Teas is rather expensive, though at Marshall's I got a pretty good deal. For just $4.99 I bought a box of 4 individually packaged foil bags of blooms of the Seven Fairies variety. Later, when I searched online I found the same size package for $9.99 a box! Clearly, I will not use these blooms for everyday purposes.

Here are just a few of the online places where I found these types of Blooming or Artistic Teas:

I received a beautiful bamboo box of blooming teas from Yumi a couple years ago and have been so addicted to them ever since - definitely make sure to have a clear glass teapot so you can enjoy the beauty as well as the flavor!
