Seven Quick Ways to Boost Your Energy

Quick Energy Boosts

There are times when fatigue strikes at the worst possible times. The day starts out great, but before you know it, you're dragging. You have so much to do, yet all you can think about is the tired feeling that has possessed you. When you need a quick energy boost, there are some things you can do.

Have An Energy-Boosting Fruit Snack

There are certain fruits that can provide you with a quick energy boost. Next time you feel drained of energy, try snacking on any of the following fruits:

. Banana

. Orange

. Apple

. Dates

. Figs

. Raisins

Take Some Deep Breaths

Breathing deeply will provide your body with extra oxygen which will energize you. And no one will even know you're doing it. If you can go outside and take deep breaths of fresh air, all the better.

Have A Low-Fat Latte

Instead of having a cup of coffee, have a low-fat latte. All the extra milk turns the coffee into a protein drink which boosts energy and the extra calcium in the latte is good for your bones.

Splash Cold Water On Your Face

This works very well. Just cup some cold water in your hands and splash it on your face. Tired eyes will feel more awake as will your entire body.

Get Up And Move

Get up and perform some sort of exercise. Walk down a hallway. Walk around a building. Walk down a street. Even simple stretching will make you feel less tired.

Take a Power Nap

When you are feeling fatigued and need a quick energy boost, taking a short nap (10-20 minutes) will help. Power naps boost your memory, creativity, concentrations skills, and energy level.

Listen To Music

There's nothing like listening to upbeat music that you enjoy to give you a lift. And good music often induces body movement, whether it's head bobbing, finger tapping, foot tapping, swaying back and forth, or whatever. And movement is a sure-fire way to help beat fatigue.
