If you are looking for a charming accommodation with a moderate price tag, then the Seventh Mountain Resort may be the perfect choice for you and your family. It is ideally situated along the Deschutes River and only a few minutes from downtown Bend.

Is the Seventh Mountain Resort Family-Friendly?

Yes! The resort offers family accommodations including condos with kitchens. The property boasts 2 different outdoor swimming pools, an outdoor wading pool with fountain for small children, and 3 outdoor hot tubs. There are also several playgrounds around the property to give your little ones a chance to burn off some energy.

The property offers guided trail rides for families with children over 7 years old. Reservations are recommended and prices begin at about $29 for a 30 minute trail ride.

For children ages 2 to 6, pony rides are available at the stables and reservations are not required. The pony rides are currently $9 per child.

Other family-friendly activities can be arranged through the front desk including bicycle rentals, rafting tours, golfing, and more.

For kids aged 7-13, the Resort offers a Cascade Kids Eco Challenge Camp in the summer months. This camp provides fun outdoor activities for kids on a daily or weekly basis, ranging from lava tube exploring to going rafting. The current price is $70 per day or $300 per week.

What Amenities Are Available in the Condos at SeventhMountain Resort?

In all rooms but the smaller studio units, guests enjoy having a fully equipped kitchen as part of the condo. The kitchens include a small refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher, and sink as well as basic utensils, cooking ware, and dishes.

All rooms have their own balcony or patio with gorgeous forest views. Guests can hear the chirping of birds and the rush of the Deschutes River while sipping a glass of wine. If evenings become chilly, relax in comfort in front of the fireplace in the separate living area.

What is the Best Room for Families?

For families with 2 children, the one or two bedroom condo is a perfect choice. The one bedroom condo format comes with a separate bedroom for the parents and a sofa bed for the kids. In the two bedroom condo, you have both bedrooms available as well as the sofa bed in the living area.

You can also bring DVD movies to watch in your room or you can rent them from the front desk for about $4. The resort offers free wireless internet access for all guests.

What about Dining at Seventh Mountain Resort?

There are 3 dining options available at the resort. The Seasons Restaurant offers gourmet dining with fresh local ingredients. Reservations are recommended, but the menu is a bit pricey for families. For casual dining, you can pick up ready made and convenience items at Big Eddy's Café and general store. For adults, enjoy a drink in the cozy Rim Rock Bar.

However, the resort is only minutes away from great local restaurants in Bend and the surrounding towns. Having your dinner off property gives you the perfect opportunity to visit local eateries and brew pubs!

    I have been - but with family in Bend I don't need to pay the high prices to stay in the local resort i can stay with family for free and use the money on exciting activities.
