Several Reasons Why You Should Avoid Letting Friends Plan Your Wedding

A Few Ideas and Suggestions

Mrs. Renee
While most people tend to hire wedding planners to take care of their special day. Not too many of us actually allow our friends or close family members to do the same. One of the very obvious reasons is that you may not end up liking what they decide to do. Of course you can let them know that they should first make sure that they check with you on everything that they want, but things can very quickly turn form your idea of a perfect wedding to theirs.

It is also possible that other friends or family members may end up being offended by the fact that you did not choose to allow them to help out with the wedding planning. Of course this is your day and it should be about what you want, but if this is the route that you want to go then you should still expect at least one or two people to be a little upset with your decision. Another down side to letting a friend plan your wedding is that things can very quickly go over your budget. In some cases they may say that they will pay for the few extra things that they are planning. Most likely you will end up finding out later that they can not afford to pay for the little extras and everything this left in your hands. Of course there is nothing wrong with having your friends and family members helping you're to plan your wedding day, you just want to avoid allowing them to have all of the control. Things may start out nice and simple, but they can quickly spin out of control, and before you know it, they are the ones having the party and not you.

It can also cause a lot of unnecessary stress between you and your future spouse. Usually both the bride and the groom like to have some sort of say in how their wedding day is going to go. If the person chosen to do the planning is not a close friend to both then their can definitely begins to be some hostile tensions. You may also see that the mothers of both the bride and groom may not be happy with your friend planning the wedding. Instead of allowing a friend to plan your wedding why not allow your parents to join forces and plan something for you. At least this way you know that they will have what you like, since mothers usually put the interest of their children first. These are just a few ideas and suggestions that you may find helpful.
