Sex, Race and Politics

Luke Wilson
Sex, race, and politics, I know there has been a lot of talk about these three subjects in this year's election fairly or unfairly. I wonder if both haven't been used to work the refs in this historic contest?

Speaking as a man, I know how hard it can be to try to have a family and a career so I can only imagine what it must be like for a woman...wait, was that a sexist commit because it was not meant to be.

You see how thin the line can be, and I am just an average person working from home trying to make a little money on the side by typing these articles. I believe and it is just my belief that if you want to play in a certain arena from time to time things might get a little ruff and you might not always like how things are presented to you.

Asking about a person's record is not sexism it's just not. We the public have a right to know her record. Asking how someone who is running for one of the highest offices in the land is going to deal with five children, one with special needs is not sexist.

I've only got one kid and I was asked that question by several people and I'm a man and I'm not looking to hold one of the highest offices in America. You cannot have it both ways. For someone to ask a working person this question is not sexist.

I am not saying it did not happen during the Democratic primaries, it did Hillary Clinton was subjected to some very crude and unprofessional behavior, but that is not the reason she lost. She lost because she ran as an incumbent in a change election, her campaign could not decide on a message etc... her losing had nothing to do with sexism.

The questions the few that have been asked of Gov. Plain are fair. Like they use to say about Barack Obama we just do not know enough about her, and what we do know seems to be a little murky.

The McCain camp should allow her to do more press and let the chips fall where they may. This is a honeymoon period if the McCain camp thinks they can keep her away from any real press and I do not mean Charlie Gibson lobbing softball questions her way.

I mean the press shows like that. There is a reason Obama did not pick Hillary, half the country has a disfavor able opinion of her. The last poll I saw today suggested the same trend for Sarah Palin.

She might have got the troops fired up, but that is the base of her party, at some point she's going to have to answer a few question on how she see's things looking toward the future of this country.

We want to know her views on choice, guns, immigration, foreign policy, church and state, and healthcare. This woman could be president if their ticket wins and god forbidden something happens to John McCain.

That is not sexism, we as Americans have a right to know these things about her, and if the McCain camp will not present her to the mainstream press one has to wonder why?
