Sexual Trafficking: How and Why it Thrives

What is the Root Cause of Growing Sexual Corruption of a Nation?

WIlliam D Green
Sex trafficking; a growing menace to our society seems to be growing in proportion to the prevalence of sexual innuendo and behavior in the media and in popular attitudes. Only a society with such an attitude can sex trafficking grow and thrive.

With the way the media portrays men and women and the obsession of emphasizing sex and overt sexual behavior it is no wonder the more obscene and violent subculture finds root. Women are increasingly portraying themselves as some kind of sexual toy through dress designed to overemphasize and reveal to the extreme. Modesty and humility has become derogatory terms describing "Pilgrims" and "prudes."

Email spam and other digital invitations and methods of delivery linking to dating and pornographic web sites. Offers of prostitution in the form of "escorts" and masseuse at one time was underground now has bubbled to the top and has become mainstream in most print media including daily and weekly newspapers along with Craigslist and other web sites with "adult groups."

Women are equally guilty of all the evil portrayed by men in this book. Women are much more discreet in their pornographic activities and some have men purchased items for them or, they order through catalogs and online.

Many innocuous looking emails with links in them direct you to web sites where primarily women are displaying themselves and soliciting memberships to their private "clubs" or supply links to web cams. A quick tour through YouTube and MySpace and you will see that men do not predominate within these mediums.

A few decades ago this was not the case and men still the main contributor to this industry but women seem to be on a bend to catch up. Men and women are equally guilty if not by directly contributing to the porn industry or adult online dating, then through overemphasis on sexiness; so much always having to be sexy in dress, behavior, or surgical enhancement. Unfortunately children living in this environment emulate the adults are effected by it.

It was not so long ago when women were adamant against be portrayed in this way and now it has been completely turned on its head. Pride and vanity are the driving forces behind it all and has been previously published.

America has lost its innocence in exchange for a false freedom and desire that can never be satisfied. The "me" generation has evolved into the "give me, I want" generation not confined to any age group. In the book "How America Lost Her Innocence" by Steve Gallagher discusses the degradation of American culture and how major, well-known corporations have distributed and sunk their teeth into porno and profits from it. (Gallagher, 2005) Vanity reigns supreme...for now.
