Sexy Long Lashes with Wet N Wild Megalength Mascara

Susan Slade
I really love eyeshadow and mascara. I always tend to go for beige eyeshadow, and black mascara. I love the combination. Last week I was at the local Dollar Tree store, and saw a stack of Wet n Wild Megalength Mascara.

I lifted some of the hook and found C892A Very Black. I picked up 4 of them, because you just can't beat the price of $1.

In the packaging is the wand to the right. The color of it is blue, and so are the bristles. Then next to it is the barrel, and that is secured with a screw cap.

I took it out of the packaging and put it together. The outer casing of the mascara is more like a gray/blue, and it looks pretty with the silver band, and lettering. The net weight is 0.27 fluid ounce (8 ml).

I have very small eyes, and eyelashes, so I do need something big and bold, in my mascara. I decided just to do my right eyelashes to see how this mascara worked. I opened my eye wide, and applied it to the top eyelash, and then the bottom one.

My eyelashes turned from brown to black, I could see that the top ones were slightly longer, but it was the tiny bottom lashes that I noticed the most. I turned the packaging over and it states that you 'Do not let it dry between coats'. I had never heard of this before, and of course I had let it dry.

I decided to do the left eyelashes, and this time give it 2 coats straight after one another. I left in on for 5 minutes before checking it. My lashes were much longer than normal, but I did have slight clumping. It wouldn't be noticeable to anyone looking at me, but up close to the mirror, I could just see it.

The Wet n Wild Megalength Mascara stayed on really well. By the time I went to bed I had the tiniest black smudge under one of my eyes. I probably rubbed it and didn't realize it.

I took it off with my Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover.

Wet n Wild is a cheaper brand of mascara, and I have to say that it outperformed the Estee Lauder More Than Mascara, and didn't quite come up to my American Beauty Double Lush Mascara. However, there is a big difference in the price.

Wet n Wild is a washable mascara, which is great for me, as I love to swim.

On the website it says that lashes are:
'Up to 80% longer looking lashes.
85% of consumers saw length improvement. For lavishly long and perfectly defined lashes, this lengthening formula visibly lifts for clump-free, lash-by-lash definition. Ophthalmologist-tested."

I am extremely happy with the Wet n Wild Megalength Mascara. It really does make my lashes look longer, darker, and at an inexpensive price, even it you don't purchase at a $1 store. I would recommend this for an every day product, and then use the more expensive ones for parties, etc.
