To Make These Shabby Chic Flower Napkin Rings You Will Need:

Fabric for the flowers

Fabric for the leaves (optional)

Ribbon (Satin Ribbon is best)

To star you will need to make your fabric flower. I made a video of how to make the fabric video. You can watch it here. In this craft video I am using the fabric flower to make this fabric flower for a vintage purse, but your will see it has many uses.

Now, the first step in this Shabby Chic Flower Napkin Rings is to cut out your fabric flower pattern. This is simply a daisy shape.

First cut out 3 three inch circles. Now, cut out four 2 inch circles.

Now, around the edges simply trace half circles to create a scalloped edge.

Now, fold the four smaller circles in half with the right side of the fabric out.

Iron them flat.

Assemble the flower petals as shown in the craft video. The two large circles are the bases of the fabric flower and the four smaller folded pieces come together as the top of the flower.

Now, use a needle and thread to sew the pieces together. I like to add a small pearl button in the center for a sweet touch. This is optional though.

Now, you can add on some leaves like you see in the video if you wish.

Now, lay out a one foot piece of 2 inch satin ribbon or gross grain ribbon out. Be sure to cut the edges at an angle to fight fraying.

Now, sew your fabric flower into the middle top of the satin ribbon that matches your wedding colors. This ribbon could also be green to mimic leaves.

Basically you are finished making your Shabby Chic Flower Napkin Rings. Roll you fabric napkins up and tie the long ends of the satin ribbon around the napkins. Finish off in an elegant and beautiful bow that will really wow yoru wedding guests!
