When I was young;
Everything was black and white;
A line drawn that was clearly seen;
And now that line is barely there;
Of what is right;
And what is wrong;
Everything comes in a shade of grey;
Some things are very light;
And some things are very dark;
Accountability is null and void;
Consequences are eliminated;
Everyone talks about heaven;
But no one discusses hell;
Sin has become an acceptable choice;
The confusion overtakes us;
What is good and what is evil?
As we turn a blind eye;
To the truth that will never fade entirely;
No matter how many times;
We try to erase it away.

Of what is right;

Post a CommentVery insightful Lisa.
Those shades of grey can be quite exasperating sometimes. Great presentation!
Very, very nice. Enjoyed very much.
Intriguing piece. I liked it.
Very super nice poem dear didi, sooooooooo perfect and well written. Now, you have a good brother so now my sister is not leading a black and white life, it must be colorful :)
Thank you everyone! Emotions are best portrayed by abstracts, and I have been experimenting with shapes and different color shades. I have created quite a few of these abstracts, and each one of them is colorful, but different. It has been a fun and interesting project.
Poignant and much food for thought! Simpler were days of black and white, when day was day and night was night. You words a truth we found revealed, with adulthood's mantle our fates it sealed. Thank you for producing such am inspiring piece of art.
VERY INTERESTING musings. Nicely done!!
Beautiful. I have been there myself. Few things make a man cynical like realizing that there are very few absolutes in the world. Oh, don't get me wrong, there are absolutes, just not as many as we were led to believe!
Good Job Miss Lisa ken
