Shadow Complex Interactive Achievement Map for the Xbox 360 - an Amazing Resource

The Next Level of Gaming Guides is Here!

Jack Pattillo and Ray Brown have developed one of the most intuitive game guides I have ever seen, and the best part is it is completely free. Shadow Complex, released on August 19, 2009 by Microsoft Game Studios and Chair Entertainment, is one of the most impressive Xbox Live titles available to date. The game is based on the Orson Scott Card (Author of the lauded Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow series) Empire book series.

Shadow Complex received an "Outstanding" 9.4 from IGN.com, and has gameplay similar to the Metroid and Castlevania games on the Gameboy Advance. Sporting graphics using the Unreal graphics engine, the game is nothing short of gorgeous and engaging.

Shadow Complex is largely exploration based, meaning there are a huge number of challenges throughout the expansive game map. Jack Pattillo and Ray Brown's interactive Shadow Complex map provides locations for all of the items in the game. The reason the map is interactive is that you can click on any portion of the map containing an item, and a new tab or window will open in your web browser with a YouTube video detailing how to get the item in question. The YouTube links were created by Jack Pattillo.

Ray Brown of BitManic.com handled all of the coding for the Shadow Complex interactive achievement map. In addition to being well designed, the interactive map has many options, including removing certain items from the map, so you can concentrate on only the item you have yet to collect. Using the Shadow Complex interactive achievement map, you will be able to complete even the hardest challenges of the game.

The real question is, why aren't more game guides done in this manner. In the future, we can only hope we will see gamers as capable as Jack Pattillo and Ray Brown being dedicated to gaming guides. The most puzzling aspect of the Shadow Complex interactive achievement map is that there are no advertisements or even a "Donate" button. On the other hand, Jack Pattillo and Ray Brown are clearly very talented and both have self-promotion websites. The Shadow Complex interactive map is actually hosted at Jack Patillo's website, JackPattillo.com, whereas Ray Brown's page is BitManic.com.

Jack Patillo is an editing and web development specialist, and Ray Brown is a graphic designer dealing in both digital and print graphics.
