Shadow in the Mirror
A Poem
Walking on a tightrope
with a skater's razor edge.
Sinking in despair
while rising to new heights.
The mirror is a mocker
as a stranger's eyes look back.
Suddenly this woman inside of me
I don't know who she is.
I talk of her like she's not me.
She's my shadow that wants
to integrate with me.
