Shadow People

Are They Real or Imagined?

Whether some have seen the dark, fleeting shadow out of the corner of their eye or seen a shadow person head on, shadow people have become a real mystery. Most of us go through our typical day with tunnel vision. We have jobs to do, errands to run, and can be so focused on whatever it is that we need to accomplish that we can be oblivious as to what goes on around us. There are some of us, however, that take time to look and listen to the environment around us. For those of us that tend to be more open-minded and attentive to our surroundings, we can sometimes hear and see things that those with no desire to do so do not.

What are shadow people? From what has been seen of them, they are human in shape. Some that have seen them face-on have reported that the entity has red eyes. It is believed by some that these are ghosts. Ghosts, however, have been reported to be misty white and translucent. People can many times make out facial features and clothing. Based on this it is likely that these dark shadow-like beings are not ghosts. There is a possibility that the shadow person is a demon or other kind of spirit entity. Usually when someone has had experiences with this type of entity they pick up on malevolent feelings. This bad feeling would support the assumption that these may be bad. We have to wonder that if they are demonic, what is their purpose? So far, anyone I know to have had this experience can have great feelings of fear and uneasiness. If this is all the demon wishes to do, I guess they succeed in that, as many people are quite frightened by them. They may be astral bodies that are people who are traveling out of their bodies, perhaps during sleep. They could be time travelers, viewing our time line from a space from where we can only see them as shadows. Perhaps the theory that there are parallel universes would explain these beings. Perhaps we are seeing others in a parallel universe going about their day as we are. Maybe we are shadow people to them.

Whatever they are, I know that an individual I know that experiences these people has experienced them ever since she can remember. Let's call her Amy. When Amy was small she remembers being terrified of these shadow people. As she got older she continued to see glimpses of them. There were times when she was asleep that she believes that her nightmares of a man in her room, shaking her bed, and laughing at her until she was terrified nearly to death, was not a nightmare at all and was, in fact, a shadow man.

Amy was in a serious car accident when she was small and did suffer a head injury. She wonders if this injury has anything to do with what seems to be the paranormal experiences that she has now. I doubt that everyone that sees them has had a head injury. I also don't believe that all that see them are mentally ill as some believe. Amy questions her sanity at times but deep down I think she knows that her mind is just fine. It is a mystery to her why the shadow keeps returning. She would like to know what it wants and has gotten frustrated and asked it. To date she has gotten no answer from it. She recently has experienced being hurt by shadows in her sleep. They have hurt her stomach, laughed at her, and choked her until she has woken up gasping for breath.

So whether these are real or imagined, there are certainly many who have seen them. They are very real to Amy as I'm sure they are very real to those who have seen them. Based on Amy's experience, I believe the shadow or shadows that she sees are obviously there to harm her. She's a good person, treats others well, and helps those in need when she can. She is loving and kind. This, for her, is not an issue of what some would call bad karma. She is tormented and she does not deserve it. Perhaps they are evil or perhaps they are just upset about something. I think Amy needs to find a new approach to deal with her problem visitors. I would like her to consider, for a moment, that maybe this shadow problem may come from within herself. Usually a negative person, Amy may be creating this scary shadow from within. This does not mean it is imagined. It means that her own habit of thinking negatively may be creating this monster.

If you have never seen them you are likely to conclude that those that have are ill. They may very well be. I think this is not an illness that is cured by doctors or medications. I believe that when the victims learn to reach within themselves and learn about what makes them tick and what is hurting them that they can heal what ails them all on their own.

I see the shadow people often and I have always seen them as a gift. They have never seemed harmful,in fact they seem playful- I remember being afraid of them when I was young , but I smile when I see them now. And it is always daylight .

I too have been visited by these Shadow Beings. I don't think they are evil, actually. I think they are Natural Spirits but just like people, they are mischivious. I have had bad experiances with them and good too. I had one try and convince me to kill my sister one night when I was young, but I've had other ones shake me awake in danger. It's how you perceive them, I think.
