"Look - Daddy look"
She says
Sunlight pouring through
The window
Cutting across the room
Her hand
Bleeding - a shadow
Like something
Hidden - now come to life
Dancing there
In the joy of its resurrection
Dancing - "look
It's the Easter Bunny"
She says
And my heart dances with it.
She says
Sunlight pouring through
The window
Cutting across the room
Her hand
Bleeding - a shadow
Like something
Hidden - now come to life
Dancing there
In the joy of its resurrection
Dancing - "look
It's the Easter Bunny"
She says
And my heart dances with it.

Layers of meaning.
Lovely! She must mean a lot to you. You sound like a loving father,
Wow. I love the subtle crucifixion reference here. Gorgeous blend of secular and sublime. (And it's a sweet family poem too!)

That's a lovely one, JL. I think I've run out of Easter themes now...LOL!
Gorgeous, and yet says so much.
How precious.
Very nice, Jeffie...I like the biblical reference in there along with the bunny...
