Shadows

Fair Weathered Friends

Solis
Ever feel like a ghost?
Walking halls of past glories
Counting the wasted moments
The wasted time that isn't coming back

People you thought were friends look oblivious
To the presence in the room
Feeling only as if something bushed past them
Catching a glimpse of fading light as you walk by

I know what you are up to: I know what you did
I took all those lessons to heart when you taught them
Even though you didn't believe in them at all

If we meet again I hope it is in this place
Of fading images, shadows and light
I will acquaint you with the desolation and loneliness
That you have effortlessly thrown me into

Well walk the halls together, hand in hand
We'll look into our fiends hearts
We will mourn the loss of their innocence together
And weep for them and before them, but they wont hear

Now you know what they are up to: You know what they did
You took all those lessons to heart when he taught them
Even though he didn't believe in them at all
