Shadows
Shadow Folk
Shadow folk -
in certain lights take on
the vivid fullness of living
beings.
Reflections of ourselves,
they visit from that other
plane of consciousness.
Eventually, light fades
and the shadow folk
with it.
Left to drift in dissipated
forms - slipping along
the edges of life
unseen, unheard, searching -
always searching
for the lost light
which heals.
