Grocery Store Addictions
What it is XPOZ readers? It's Capo Ca$his from Shady Records/Interscope here, guest blogging for XPOZ Magazine. I'm here to let you know a little bit more about me, you feel me?
A lot of you may not know this, but I am a grocery store shopaholic. I go to three grocery stores a day when I am in town. I typically hit up Ralph's, Von's and Trader Joe's. It's shocking to some fellow shoppers, when they see me with three carts full of food. I typically have one for meats, one for my sweets and one for the fruit, vegetables, and rice.
Once I drop that off, I hit another store and fill up the car with groceries again, so it looks like I'm hiding in groceries while driving home from the store. I've spent many days in a crunch and munch cave, for real.
It's probably because I'm stoned when I go shopping, which leads to impulse spending. I mean, walking high in the pastry aisle, probably isn't the best idea. Or $60 worth of Ms. Smith's deep-dish apple pies isn't smart either.
But, I embrace my addiction, because I remember the times when eating food other than that from a can, wasn't an option for me. So I make the most out of what I can do now, especially when I go grocery shopping. But I'm not a waster either. I also donate to food drives, and hook up the homies with groceries just to balance it all out.
So the moral to the story is this, you may find me in the hood, you may find me in the studio, but the majority of time you will find me in your grocer's aisle high grabbing everything off the shelf.
Be on the lookout for my album, The Art of Dying later this year!
Until next time,
-Ca$his
