WE chose to order a medium Deli Tray, which serves about 15 people. It was beautiful! The tray was stacked with deli meats such as ham, turkey, and roast beef as well as both Swiss and American cheeses. We also got rye bread and rolls, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise and mustard to complete the sandwiches. The tray also came with a choice of two picnic type salads and we chose Macaroni Salad and Cole Slaw, although we could have selected Potato Salad in place of one of the above.
We also ordered a veggie tray, which was a big hit. The veggies were cut into perfectly sized portions, and it included carrot and celery sticks, bell peppers, cauliflower and broccoli along with a Ranch dipping sauce. Everyone loved it and the entire tray was empty within an hour of the party starting, even though we ordered the largest tray that was made to serve over twenty guests.
Lastly, we ordered a few of Shady Brook's gourmet catering meals. We selected Meatballs with Marinara sauce, as well as Stuffed Shells, we also ordered Chicken Cacciatore, which was served with long grain wild rice, and we also got some of their homemade BBQ Pulled Pork. For side items, we chose macaroni and cheese as well as their mixed vegetables and we also got some extra rolls and rye bread. They did supply the rolls, etc. because we ordered both meatballs and pork, both of which are typically served as sandwiches.
The service was great! I ordered three days in advance, and everything was ready, bagged up and loaded into my car for me in a very short amount of time. The staff was really helpful when trying to decide how much food I needed for the amount of guests expected to attend our party. Their food was simple, but very, very good. Every one of my guests commented on how good it was, and they all asked where we ordered the food.
If you're having a party, a baby shower or just having a small get together in your yard, take a little bit of the pressure off of yourself and consider Shady Brook Farms catering service. You will be extremely pleased with the results!
