Shaking [Right Down to My Bones]

Maria Kovacs

The winter air is crisp and clean, but much too cold

Frosty winds howl, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

Not ready for the plunge; distracted and confused

It's too much to take in, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

Harmful words and awkward glances; you've changed too much

I sigh as you turn from me, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

For a second, time stops, everything's frozen, too still

Will I make it? A flash, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

A walk too long, the destination unreachable

I break into a run, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

The uneasy feeling at the pit of my soul; something's wrong

I don't know what, but I can feel it, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

Knowing you're gone, not to return for some time

Thoughts of you swim in my brain, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

Passionate kisses, clothes on the floor, the heat of the moment

You embrace me, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

You smile, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

You cry, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

I cry, and I'm shaking right down to my bones

Shaking right down to my bones

Right down to my bones
