So many kinds of shampoo's to wash your beautiful hair. You can make it shine, curl, relax, soft and many other wonderful things. But did you know shampoo is great for other jobs? It is a multi function product with uses you would never dream of. You will be surprised at the things it can do for your life to make it better and easier as well as easy on the budget. Even cheap shampoo has it's benefits. Here are just a few of the best.

1. Have you just washed you new sweater only to find out it has shrunken to the size of a doll sweater? You paid good money for it and now you can't even give it to the little girl next door, because it would be too small for her. Don't give up hope. You can fix it to almost new with patience and shampoo! Just fill your basin with warm water and add baby shampoo. Now swirl it around with your hand. No suds please. Next lay the sweater into the water gently. Do not push it down. Let it soak up the water and shampoo on it's own. Now you let it soak for 15 minutes while you calm yourself with a piece of yummy chocolate cake.

When time is up remove the sweater and place in a bowl. Do not ring it out or twist it. Change the water and run the basin with clear water. Place the sweater back into the basin, again let it soak up the water on it's own. Once it has soaked up the clear water this will wash some of the shampoo out of the material. Remove the sweater and place on a dry towel. Lay it flat with face side up. Roll it in the towel to remove some of the moisture. After you have removed some of the water from the sweater unroll the towel, but don't remove the sweater. Lay flat and begin to reshape the sweater by gently stretching it length and width. Continue the process about every 15 minutes until the sweater is dry. After dry only wash the sweater by hand in cold water and gentle shampoo. Always dry flat. Continue to reshape each time you wash your sweater.

2. Do you own a leather purse that has seen better days? Are your leather shoes looking a little worn in? You can bring both back to life with simple shampoo. Place a little shampoo on a clean rag and rub the worn spots in small circle. This will clean and condition the worn or dry areas. After you have touched up the spots then gently clean the whole item until smooth. Place the leather item away to dry for a couple of hours. Once dry then polish gently with a clean, soft cloth to bring back it's new look. This will make your shoes or purse last for another season or two.

3. Revitalize your tired feet with the shampoo treatment! It feels great. Is easy to do and you won't even have to be awake. Rub a little bit of conditioning shampoo on your feet at night before bed. Cover with a light pair of cotton socks and sleep your way through a great foot spa. When you wake the next morning your feet will feel soft and ready to face another hard day. Be careful when you enter the shower because your feet will be slick when they mix with your shower or bath water. Make sure you rinse your feet thoroughly before depending on them to hold you firm.

4. Shampoo's gentle suds will painlessly remove bandages from little arms or big forearm without tears or complaint. Just rub shampoo on the bandage and let set for about 5 minutes. It will soften the sticky that holds fast to skin and hair making it easy to remove from your big strong men.

There are many reason shampoo is an all around product. From cleaning hair to conditioning leather to washing brushes and combs. You can always depend on it to do a fine and gentle job without leaving marks or stains. So keep a few bottles around your home for those minor emergencies or repairs. Everyone will be amazed at how smart you are and how thrifty you are with the pennies we all work so hard for.

What great ideas. I have, on occasion, used in to wash laundry when I was out of detergent.
