Shamrock Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco

1 stick margarine, softened

1 c. sugar

1 egg, slightly beaten

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

1 1/2 tsp. green food coloring

Method

1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly coat a cookie sheet with butter flavored cooking spray.

2) Mix shortening, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla together in a large bowl. Stir in sifted flour, salt and food coloring.

3) Roll three pieces of dough into small balls. Using your fingertips, flatten each ball into a shamrock shape. Break off a small piece of dough and make a stem. Attach the stem to the top of the shamrock.

4) Once the cookies have been made into shamrock shapes, place the cookie sheet inside the oven and bake for 9 minutes.
