Shania Twain Slip at CMT Video Awards Painful

Shania Twain was all set to introduce the Male Video of the Year on the CMT Video Awards when she fell hard as she walked to the stage on Wednesday night in Nashville. Twain, who is reportedly set to have a lengthy two year stay in Vegas, slipped and fell as she walked out to the stage. You can view the video of the fall here.

It was a frightening moment as Twain lost her balance and quickly seemed to pop up. In fact, Twain was so quick to regain her balance after the nasty slip and perhaps even quicker to regain her sense of humor.

Even though Twain looked to be in pain after the slip, she still giggled and handled her introduction of the Award nominees with class as expected. Twain laughed as she introduced some of the bigger name Male singers in Country Music.

Eventually Twain handed off the award to Blake Shelton-who was not present and accepted his award on the set of "The Voice." Twain managed to pass off the incident as well as possible--although it appeared she was grimacing and perhaps holding her hip as she tossed out the names of the nominees.

Fans had to wonder if Twain was seriously injured in the slip--the fall seemed like it would have been a tough one for anyone. Twain was wearing heels as she made her entrance before falling. It was hard to tell with the lack of light if her slip was caused by something on the floor. Cameras cut away from the incident very quickly so viewers weren't allowed to see the complete recovery after the fall.

If anything was observed, it was perhaps the fact that Twain handled the spill with dignity and quickly helped the "show go" on. Twain had also helped to open the show with a pre-recorded "Thelma and Louise" themed intro with Taylor Swift. The comic intro was received well for the start of the show and featured Donald Trump, Chord Overstreet(of Glee fame) and Kid Rock. The Twain slip on the CMT Video Awards did not come until the final 30 minutes of the 2 and a half hour show.

Video of the Shania Twain slip or fall will probably be the buzz of the day on Thursday as people search for it on YouTube and other sites. It appeared Twain escaped a serious hip or knee injury by balancing her fall.
