Shania Twain and Valerie Bertinelli are giving marriage a second chance and each has tied the knot on the first day of 2011 with their respective partners.

In Rincon, Puerto Rico, Twain married Frederic Thiebaud witnessed by 40 of their "closest family and friends" according to Twain's rep who spoke with People. The couple who announced their engagement in December, 2010, came together when their respective spouses at the time were caught in a love affair together.

Twain had been married to Robert "Mutt" Lange since December, 1993 and together they had Eja D'Angelo born in August, 2001. In May, 2008, the shocking announcement came out that Lange had had an affair with Shania's best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

In turn, Twain turned to Marie-Anne's soon-to-be ex, Frederic, whom she tweeted about last month stating, "Talking about love, I am excited to share some personal news with you; I'm in love! Frederic Nicolas Thiebaud has been a true gift to me as a compassionate, understanding friend and over time, an amazing love has blossomed from this precious friendship."

America's favorite teen sweetheart from 'One Day at a Time' fame, Valerie Bertinelli, also tied the knot on January 1 with her love of the past six years, Tom Vitale.

Like Twain, Bertinelli is giving marriage a second chance after her marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen ended in 2007, although they had separated in 2000.

Bertinelli and Van Halen had a son together as well, Wolfie, who is now 19-years-old and attended his mother's wedding.

Bertinelli told People.com, "We're so happy!" regarding the wedding.

The couple married in Malibu with 100 close friends and family members in attendance. Bertinelli is 50, and her financial planner husband Vitale is 49.
