Baby Shannon Dedrick Found by Police!

Meg G.
Shannon Dedrick is a baby. Shannon Dedrick was missing. Baby Shannon Dedrick was found alive underneath her babysitter's bed in a box. Luckily, Shannon Dedrick is perfectly fine and did not suffer any severe damage.

Shannon Dedrick was reported missing by her parents on October 31. Since then, police have been frantically searching for the 11 pound 24-inch long baby girl. Since Shannon Dedrick cannot walk or crawl, someone had to have picked her up and removed her from her parent's home.

The surprising thing about Shannon Dedrick's disappearance is that her mother is one of three people that face potential charges in her disappearance. The other two are Susan Elizabeth Baker and her husband. Why Shannon Dedrick's mother played a role in her disappearance is a question that will be answered in a news conference today - or at least a lot of people hope so. No one can wrap their head around why a mother would harm her baby.

The surprising thing about Shannon Dedrick being found is the fact that she is unharmed. She was missing for over 5 days, and you would suspect that she would not survive those conditions. When police found Shannon Dedrick, she was in a box underneath Susan Elizabeth Baker's bed. Susan had arranged items around the box to conceal the box from the police. Luckily, the beautiful little girl was found.

Susan Elizabeth Baker was also suspected as playing a role in the disappearance of her son in 2000. At the time, her son was 3 and she alleges that he wandered off while she was taking a nap. The boy has never been found, and a grand jury failed to indict Susan Elizabeth Baker and her husband in the disappearance.

Furthermore, in 1987 Susan Baker was convicted of assault against her 6 year old daughter. She served 80 days of a 10 year sentence. Shannon Dedrick is not the first young victim of Susan Elizabeth Baker, but hopefully if the police do their job correctly she will be the last.

Susan Elizabeth Baker is related to Shannon Dedrick's father. So far, Shannon Dedrick's father is the only person close to the young baby that does not face potential charges in her disappearance. Of course, we know that news can change swiftly and at any time. Hopefully, he didn't play a role in her disappearance, as she is going to need someone stable to care for her.
