Shape Magazine Issues Apology for LeAnn Rimes Cover

LeAnn Rimes may have gotten the man of her dreams, but getting him has certainly cost her a lot. Not the least of which has been her reputation. But, now, it might actually be costing her some work as well.

Shape Magazine has issued a public apology to women and its readers for featuring LeAnn Rimes on their October 2010 issue along with a cover story on how "working out" saved LeAnn.

After receiving a barrage of complaints, (no doubt, from women) Shape Magazine's editor-in-chief, Valarie Latona, issued an email, apologizing for the mistake of featuring a "husband stealer" on the cover of the magazine, mere weeks after LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian engaged in an affair that wrecked both their marriages. Ouch, is all I can say.

It's all rather unfortunate, however, and certainly unfair, that LeAnn Rimes is bearing the brunt of the criticism for the affair, when it was both she and Eddie Cibrian who cheated.

But, the fact is, LeAnn Rimes seriously violated girl code: You never take another woman's man - ever. And what's more, girlfriend, you sure don't take another woman's man who has young children at home. And if you think it's okay to swoop in on them after their divorced, you'll be wrong on that one too.

Just ask Denise Richards.

While LeAnn Rimes has publicly expressed regret over hurting people, she also publicly expressed that she was not "sorry for the way it turned out." So, I guess it wasn't enough that she snatched a husband and father away from his wife and children, but then, she has to go on record issuing a pseudo-apology as well. Not cool, LeAnn, not cool.

LeAnn Rimes is still a young woman by most accounts. She hasn't quite hit the ripe old age of 30, yet. My predictions are she will have a decidedly different outlook on this matter once she begins to approach the "date of expiration" on hotness and sexual attraction to the opposite sex, aka, middle-age.

Life has a way of kicking all of our butts when we reach the age of maturity, shall we say and I'm certain that the boomerang of Karma will have made it back to the country cutie by then.

It's really too bad, because the girl really can sing. But, no doubt, Brandi Glanville is somewhere enjoying some serious gloating over this one.
