Share Your Day with God

Today I am writing about the importance of sharing your life with God. We have only a few years on Earth in which to devote all our efforts to our heavenly Father. We do this in appreciating for all God does for us while we are using His Earthly home, which He so lovingly prepared for us.

Many of us have missed the reasons Jesus gave us to share what we plan for ourselves with our Father above. Jesus gave us 'The Lord's Prayer' to guide us into this sharing process with our Creator. Then He gave us many parables that explain how our Father associates with us. Lastly He gave us truths about God and how God wishes we treat each other and devote our time to Him.

Many of those on Earth today will not get to Heaven and a great many will spend a long time in Purgatory because we have turned our backs on God or simply because even though we love God, we give Him very little of our time; leaving Him aside as we plan our lives for ourselves. We overlooked the stories passed on to us about the Old Testament which explain exactly how God intended man to rely on Him for sustaining life on a daily basis.

While Moses brought the Israelites from Egypt to the promise land, God provided for them day by day, and no more than day by day. This is God's method; He wants you to need Him for each day's source of life. It's in the pray Jesus gave us, "Give us this day our daily bread." But we don't think we need God to that extent, so we plan our lives and when we mess them up because we didn't include God in our plan, then we go running to Him to fix it. We end up praying selfishly for ourselves and then when God does not give us what WE WILL to happen in our lives, we get angry with Him for not loving us enough to make our lives perfect for us.

This is not the way it's supposed to work. When you plan your life, you only take about seventy to a hundred years into consideration. Eternal-wise, that is not a very long time, so you are missing the plan for the rest of your life. If you only plan the part on Earth, you will do only what is required for your time on Earth and completely screw up the rest of your life. God however, knows a better way for you to spend your Earth time, so that you are prepared for the rest of your life. Who wants to spend eternity stuck in the vast and endless hatred of hell or the lonely prayerless waiting of Purgatory, hoping that someone wonderful on Earth will be kind enough to pray for you to be able to get into Heaven.

Now also, you need to consider the fact that God knows what is going to happen ahead of time, and you don't. So if you are planning your future, with no knowledge of what the future will bring, in any other circumstance, people would think you are crazy. It's like going into business with no experience in that field. You are doomed to fail. But mankind does this all the time and no one thinks it's even a little bit strange, because we are so convince that there is no alternative to doing it this way.

Wait, there are a few who believe fortune tellers or astrologers are an alternative, and we have all seen how great that has worked out and that is why these people have such great following and are raking in the bucks. I will tell you the trick here, if someone tells you the future, which God does not allow anyone to know, then one, it is most likely wrong, two, most likely coming from evil means to confuse you and will lead you into disaster if you take that course, and three, will only be true if at all true, for about a second or two. This being because each of us has a free will and even if this second all wills are in favor of this event, a second later someone is bound to choose another path which will affect the whole scenario. So you are paying someone to tell you something that may be true for as long as it takes to pay them. If you act on these, you deserve exactly what you will get...Satan's solutions to your problems.

Now you ask, how do we who can't hear God ask for His help? First of all God just wrote an entire book on that subject to help you, and second I will give you a few hints. The book is called "God's Holy Plan to Save Earth" and these are a few things you can start with.

Ask for what you need on a daily basis. Don't get all involved with how much money you want to make, or what classes you need to take, or who you will to marry. If you need something to complete God's plan for your life, it will show up in your life without you looking for it. Why would you want to stress out over something you don't really need, and spend your time doing something that will not be of any benefit to you?

Say the Lord's Prayer; ask God, What do you want me to do today? Then sit back and shut up and just let him come to your mind to give you images that will tell you. I know that sounds like you can't plan anything. You can't. You shouldn't, and you won't want to if you get used to asking, you will find out life is a lot easier this way.

You only have one day to worry about, and God is doing all the planning for you. How much easier can it be? Now, if today is the day you pick your classes for the semester, then of course today is the day you ask God to help you do that. If you only ask others to help you, you only get answers that are limited to mankind's knowledge and are based on the little someone else knows about you and your entire eternal life. Is that the kind of help you think you should rely on?

You have a relationship with your Creator that you should be accessing on a daily basis, and if you learn to do that, your life will change completely for the better. You can't simply pray by doing all the talking and leave it at that, because if you listen to what you are saying to God, you will realize you are asking God to do your will and He is not to enthusiastic about doing your will. However, if you learn to ask His will, He is more than gracious about giving it to you. It makes Him very happy to be asked His opinion. How would you like it if people only came to you to ask you to do something for them and never asked you what you would like them to do for you? Never asked, what do you think? This is how most people pray to God, completely selfishly. Even if we pray for someone we know, we still do it selfishly. "God, I want you to save ...." God, please get..." God, my mom needs..."

Say, "God, thy will be done," and mean it. Let God chose the best solution for those you pray for. He knows more about them and His plan for their entire eternal life than you could ever know. If you do this, it frees you from the responsibility of choosing what to pray for in their case, it frees you from guilt that you didn't pray enough for them should God decide to take them home to Heaven, and it frees you from the pain of loosing them if you know it is God who asked them Home out of love for them. You realize He is not taking them from you at all; He is sharing with them the next part of their life. You can rest easy knowing they are in His kind and loving company. The closer you get with God the more you will understand His love for all His children.

You were put on Earth to give love to God by associating with Him in small ways daily. Praise Him; we all love someone to tell us how great we are, so does God. In fact He loves it when you write psalms to Him and tell Him how much you enjoy His time spent with you. Show honor to God by living your life in a fashion that will please Him. When you spend time with Him everyday, and you do something you know is not allowed by His laws, you will feel guilt and try to avoid Him. That is when you need Him most, just go to Him and say, I know I messed up, and it hurts you when I do that, so I need to ask your forgiveness so I can get on with my life. God is more than happy to give that forgiveness to you as long as you ask honestly and truly intend not to hurt Him again. Think of how you would feel if someone hurt you, and know that God is just as forgiving as you would be to someone who truly apologized to you, especially someone you love.

Lastly you will want to give glory to God daily, so make sure that when you see your day going well for you, that you say to God; Hey, I know it's you giving me this help, and I love that about you. If you do that out loud, it's even more affective, because you call attention to how much God does for His children and someone hearing it may say, You know what God, ditto from me.
