As a feted adage may have it; 'there is love in sharing', I came out on the veranda one Sunday afternoon to see a feeble and shabby black man lay at the front of my house almost in the form of a dead man. Wow! This made me recall a similar scene about a man who died very close to my office 3 days before Sunday. As the human thoughts are, I have already assume he is about to die or has passed on. O! I pity him. I went back at the backyard to begin painting a site project board for tomorrows work but could not concentrate. I recalled many biblical passages about what we should do to help others and especially recalled the story of the Good Samaritan. As if it were enough, my mind brought to me the words of Jesus; 'What so ever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me'. Another of my little brother came to report the man, this time he said the man is no more lying down but sitting at the pavement. This man could be Jesus I guessed and immediately rushed to the room to get little money to buy him at least Energy drink to resuscitate him. Although a neighbour helped me buy him the energy boost. She came back with the drink giving to the man who appreciated it but still need starchy food to hold himself. I have no such food then. The girl reported back that he (the poor man) needs transport fair to take him back home and without wasting much time I provided the money to her which she gave to him. And in a while, he left the street perhaps with happiness.
I do not preach to be applauded but come to think of, it's just agape in nature and that's Christ-like. I am not trying to tell you I am trying. Not at all, but the feeling should be there always. Jesus Christ did it and so we should do same just for our own sake so long as we aspire to have eternal life. I hope to have made a point here? Sharing means a lot in the sense that it makes us equal in right and really one in God through Christ Jesus. What then do we gain from sharing? Noting! You did rather expect God's providence and a certificate for the everlasting happiness to come for charity they say covers multitude of sins. That's right. Look around and start sharing selfless love among strangers who really need help but be very careful of online scammers who are almost everywhere. Let me leave this sweet and lovely word of Christ Jesus: My grace is sufficient for you. God bless us all.
