Share the Road, Neighbor!

Robin Jessie-Green
Let me over

It won't hurt you--

For me to reach my destination

So why not let me through?

Let me over

Don't act like you don't see my flasher blinking

You pretend as if you're in deep thought--

What could you really be thinking?

Other than, "I'll be rude."

Honking my horn

Just to get your attention

Ending with flipping you the bird

I regret to mention

Now I have missed my exit

Got to circle back again

All because your lane hogging behind

Wouldn't budge to let me in!

Next time, just let up on the acceleration

And give up a little space--

Obviously, everybody on this road

is heading some place

One day when you're on the verge

and need someone to return the favor

Perhaps they'll let you merge--

Since we're all road neighbors

But then again...

If it's me

I probably... won't... let... you... in

Sorry.
