Share the Sunsets

Donna Cavanagh
How would it be to just let go
And forget about the problems before our eyes?
To take a day to dance in the moment
To be awed by a sunset that paints the skies

We strive so hard to be practical
Logical and competent in every detail
We keep our minds on work and we stay driven
We let fear dim our dreams and we watch as they grow pale

Take time off to look at those sunsets
Breathe in the palette of colors they possess
Share them with someone who sees your vision
And never let your dreams fade into darkness

Deep within the beauty of the sunsets
As you watch the sky go from day to night
There you will find your dreams still waiting
Hoping you find the courage to lead them into daylight
