Share Your Talents with Concordia Place Preschool

My cousin's daughter attended Concordia Place Preschool, located at 3855 North Seeley Avenue in Chicago's North Center neighborhood. On a few occasions, she has volunteered at the school by doing office work such as data entry and filing. On one occasion, she volunteered at the Health Fair, at which I accompanied her. The tightly knit Concordia Place community members were so welcoming and genuinely seemed to enjoy helping out at the fair. My cousin always felt the need to give back to the Concordia community because of the great care and attention they gave her daughter.

They offer a variety of volunteer opportunities such as doing clerical work, distributing flyers throughout the neighborhood, visiting seniors on a monthly basis, making banners, marketing materials and posters and teaching basic computer skills. In addition, you can help out by reading to the children for an hour a day, for one day a week and helping out at open houses. On the Concordia Place website, it states that all volunteers that have contact with the children, need to undergo drug & physical checks, as well as background checks before they can volunteer.
