Shareapic Scam

The Portland Journal
Is Shareapic a Scam? - Shareapic is an online picture sharingfacility with a big difference - you get paid a share of the revenue from the website in return for views of your pictures and images by genuine vistitors to your pages.

The answer is no it is most certainly not, albeit the payment per 1000 picture views is seemingly low, it really depends on a few factors as to how you can make money using the Shareapic website facility.

At the moment the going rate for 1000 unique picture views is $0.22. This does depend on the country you are in because economical and social factor do come into play.

This is how Shareapic describe their pay scheme:

Earnings vary each month based off the amount of income Shareapic generates from advertising. Once this number is finalized a percentage of that is distributed throughout Shareapic members depending on how many image views they have accrued.

For example, if in month one Shareapic calculates to distribute $1,000 to our members, we will first tally up the total number of image views for that month. Using these two numbers we can determine the respective payouts for each user. If there were a total of 500,000 image views for the month, image views will equate to $0.002 each (1,000 divided by 500,000), or $2 per 1000 image views. If you're posting lots of pics in forums, MySpace or eBay, you can see how easy it is to earn quite a bit of money!

Money does not grow on trees and certainly does not appear by magic, so with that in mind you are all set to learn a little about how you can make a bit of loose change at first - then build to make a bit of extra revenue to pay your bills. As you can see from the above Shareapic FAQ you have some good options for promotion and earning potential open to you.

Some Tips:

1. Don't expect the picture views to start flooding in, it simply depends on your picture content, how you promote your images and how many visitors you have.

2. Be social with your pictures, you will get a lowdown on how you can be social with your pictures through joining Shareapic and reading the rules - and following them.

3. Don't just upload 5 pictures and expect thousands of views - unless your content is very unique and a sought after commodity then you are likely to be disappointed with your piture view totals every month.

4. Use your Camera effectively, have a browse through other users, make friends, check out current picture content, see trends, be original and certainly do not break any copyrights.

5. Upload absolutely any picture that is of good quality, avoid any privacy issues (taking pictures of people without consent) and make sure you upload images by the bucket load. You are free to use as much inventory space and file size as you wish.

6. Try to make albums that correspond with your pictures - example: An Album named Buses, would contain images of buses.

7. Be creative - use derivatives of your images, use photoshop and text... originality should pay off for you.

8. Expect to make little money at first and build up - it can take a good few months to build a good income from your pictures and keep adding new content.

9. Remember you will need to earn $20.00 before you get your first payout - this is not scamming you, it just helps Shareapic (a) Stay afloat (b) keep you interested!

10. Create a Paypal account so you can get paid. Pay is on a monthly basis once you have reached the minimum set by Shareapic.

So you should now be pretty much clued up on Shareapic - I am not an employee of the company and have no specific interest in being so... i just want to set the record straight and give you the online income seeker, a few pointers as to how you can help yourself to make a bit of extra cash.

No... Shareapic is not a scam, just keep your head above water with them and you will do okay out of uploading and sharing your photographs and image files.
