My very first dream would be to be able to give at least $20,000 every year to any kind of organization or program that has to do with children (i.e. Children's Hospital, St. Judes, Shriners et cetera) and animals (i.e. shelters, ASPCA et cetera). That is not even enough, but would be a help.
My second dream is to buy a couple of old hotels that are no longer in use and have them converted into a "shelter" for the homeless. I would like to be able to hire people to train the people who stay there in hopes they could find a job and get out on their own. But there is no way I would kick them out as long as they were trying to help themselves. I would want to hire someone to make sure that any money they did make would be spent wisely and some of it put up so it could be building up for them. And I would like to be able to hire my own security and maintenance crew. One other thing I would offer is for the people who live there to work around the "shelter" and make some extra money. If they have children, I would like to have a place to put a daycare.
My third dream would be to start a "loan" company. However, this "loan" company would be different in that the person who is taking out the loan would not have to pay interest and make payments as little as $5.00 a month (or other arrangements). Here is the big catch to the entire thing, they have to be willing to do 72 hours worth or volunteer work somewhere in their community (i.e. homeless shelter, YMCA/YWCA, soup kitchen, food pantry et cetera).
My fourth dream is to be able to get my friend's organization really really up and going. I would like to be able to buy her a building for a thrift store, one for an office, one for a food pantry (and make sure it is stocked), one for a clothing closet, and anything else that might be needed to help her and her organization (which by the way is for victims of domestic violence but they have other services also).
My last but not least dream is to have a big farm with lots of "therapy" horses where children and adults with disabilities could come and ride whenever they like. And to go along with that I would really like to be able to raise dogs to be used to assist person's with disabilities or certain other health conditions (or rather a service dog). However, I would like to be able to have people train these dogs and then give them free to the ones who need them. Absolutely no cost what-so-ever to the person who is getting the dog.
Well, those are just five of my dreams. I may never see them come true but as long as I am alive I will never give up on them. But then again, God has performed many many many miracles.
I guess why I am writing about this is to ask people for their prayers in helping me to be able to help others. These dreams may be way out of reach as far as the money part, but I can still do my part in helping others by giving my time and effort and even prayers.
Thanks for taking the time to read and pray! God bless!
