Shark was a defense lawyer getting criminals off and now has an edge leading his team in the District Attorney's office. He knows the in and outs of criminals.
As you may remember, Shark has a young daughter (Julie) who was subject of a killer last season. What will happen this season to his daughter? She moved to New York, so she is safe.
Shark is still outstanding and making waves in the DA's office. The new DA head is a stickler when compared to Jessica.
His daughter is missing him (Shark) her mom and new dad are fighting but she is hanging in there. The story takes off with the team trying to find another witness before the case is thrown out of court.
The team has a hard case in the season premier, trying to find a new witness that is still alive. Jessica (Jeri Ryan) is taking a new role in this season's opener. She is out working the field to find a witness.
Another one of Jessica's friends is involved in the investigation. It seems like everyone she knows is linked to criminals, this season and last season. She convinces her "friends" to testify in the cases she works with Shark on.
This one gets away with her life, but she does not want to testily now, she wants her kids. She is informed that there is no witness protection plan that will protect her and her kids. Jessica interviews her in the courtroom. Will she point out the suspect as the killer?
She says "yes" and now her life is in danger. The suspect is found guilty. Shark says "one more to go". Who else will die in this twist?
Jessica sends the friend away with her kids. It was a good thing what she did, but wait, Sharks assistant is getting beat up, the cops show up an arrest him. Jessica and Shark have a drink, Shark is hiring Jessica to be on his team. He says, "It is a sound of hell freezing over" they will be working together.
Shark goes home and his email is empty, Julie is at his house and wants to move back in, she is home. Julie has something to hide. She calls a friend and says, "I miss you to" what is up with Julie?
