1.Shingletown Lions Club located in Shingletown California. This small rural town of over just 1000 people, has a Lions club of only 8 people. Each year this club displays a Christmas tree in the bank lobby. And on that tree they place local children's gift wishes or needs for the holidays. All children on the tree are from families who cant afford to purchase gifts for their children. The Lions club makes sure that each child receives several gifts to enjoy for the holiday season. But there is not enough money to buy as many gifts this year. Any donation of children's books, toys would be greatly appreciated. Also any money donated is used to buy the children coats for the winter. This is a charity that really needs help this year.
2. Shingletown Grass Roots located in Shingletown California. A small rural town of just over 1000 people. This grassroots needs donation of canned goods so they can make up holiday grocery gift bags to families in the area who will not have the money to buy the items for a holiday dinner.. So please donate any canned goods to this group so every one can have a nice Holiday this season.
3.Shingletown volunteer fire dept. in Shingletown California. A small rural town of just over 1000 people. It relies every year on donations from the community. This year only 10% of the community has been able to donate. Shingletown is a beautiful small town located in Lassen National forest. It relies on it volunteers for fire season and emergency medical calls. And donation of money would help .
4 Good News Rescue Mission located in Redding California. Is a mission that provides food, and a warm place to sleep for homeless people. Each day more and more families lose their jobs or face a foreclosure with no place to go. Please any donation of food, clothing, or money will help this mission give them a place to stay during these cold winter days that are upon us.
5. Northern Catholic Charities located in Redding California. A wonderful organization that helps people on low income get things they need to help them out. Everything from food, help with rent to even repairing someone cars so they can get a job.
