Shauna Sand is trying to block Vivid's release of "Shauna Sand Exposed," a sex tape they acquired of her and her current boyfriend. The Vivid website launched a special page Monday, according to Reuters, touting the upcoming release of the hardcore sex tape video of the May 1996 Playboy Playmate. The page shows content of the sexy Shauna Sand, ex-wife of actor Lorenzo Lamas, with the caption "Look Who's The Renegade Now..." Vivid invites the user to enter their e-mail and the world's largest adult film company will notify the user when the Shauna Sand sex tape, "Shauna Sand Exposed," is available for purchase on video.

Shauna Sand became a hot item when she married Lorenzo Lamas and made Playboy centerfold in the same month. She met the actor on his hit syndicated series "Renegade." The couple had three children together and split up in 2005. The two have remained friends and she will also appeared on an episode of "Leave It To Lamas," the new reality series that debuted on E! network Sunday night.

But Vivid's founder Steven Hirsch has little doubt about releasing "Shauna Sand Exposed" and believes he is on firlm legal footing. He said that a third party had approached Vivid with the hi-def footage of Shauna Sand and her boyfriend and they had immediately been interested. "Shauna was obviously having fun and loving what she was doing on camera and she is bursting with sex appeal."

Hirsch told Reuters "Shauna Sand Exposed" would be available at nationwide retailers and online on October 19.

TMZ reported, however, that Shauna Sand intends to fight the release. She told the celebrity gossip website, "Yes, I did make a sex tape with my boyfriend earlier this year. In fact I've made several sex tapes, but I certainly didn't sign off on this and Vivid has no right to put it out. I am trying to get a hold of my attorney now."

The ex-Playboy Playmate has a week to get her legal affairs in order before the sex tape video is everywhere. Then she will join the ranks of celebrity sex tape stars like Kim Kardashian and Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. Literally. Vivid was the adult film company that has released the sex tape videos of those high profile stars as well.

Pamela Anderson attempted to block the release of her and Tommy Lee's sex tape as well. The court awarded the couple $1.5 million after they sued Internet Entertainment Group for disseminating the sex tape on the internet. Vivid now owns distribution rights to the video.

Shauna Sand is just the latest celebrity to have a sex tape go public. Eric Dane, his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and Kari Ann Peniche saw themselves on Gawker.com and other websites. Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have since sued Gawker for $1million because they went on to "maliciously distribute an uncensored copy of the video," showing 12 minutes of footage online.
