Shaving Tips

You do not have to spend tons of money to get smooth legs. There are a few tricks to get the smooth, soft, silky legs that you will not be able to keep your hands off of. First thing you must do is exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! The key to getting soft skin is to remove all the dead skin that is already there. Try to exfoliate once or twice a week. Just use a soft scrub and rub it into your skin enough to get the top layer of skin off. This will give you your base. Next make sure your area is clean with a body wash to make sure again the area is clean and ready for shaving. The next key is to find the right shaving gel/cream and razor. I really do believe all razors are about the same. The key is to not to use a dull razor. Try to only use your razor a maximum five times and then change the blade or get a new razor. If you have a dull razor you will be cutting yourself more then your hair. So always use a well sharpened blade. Then is the shaving gel/cream. I like gels and I even use thick creams to use. I have used face washing cream on my legs at some point. I like something that I can see and will cover my legs well. If it does not cover my legs well I might not shave the area as well so a good coverage really is key. I do like the shaving gels that have vitamin E added or that is a moisturizing one. I truly believe that our legs need constant moisture to make them their silkiest. As you shave go away from the way it grows. Go up the legs and across at the knees is my way of doing it. Be gentle but also firm on your razor, you will get a fell for it as you feel it against your skin. Then just as apart as before the shave is after the shave. Men have an after shave lotion they seem to know more then we do. If you can find an after shave lotions for your legs get that. If not dry your legs almost completely and then add a lotion or a oil to your legs. During the winter at the point where my legs are at its driest point I put a baby oil gel on it once a week. Do not over do baby oil because it will actually dry your legs out more if you over use it. So keep it to a few times a week not daily. Finally try to work your legs from the inside out. Stay hydrated and taking a multivitamin will actually help your legs. Vitamins do wonders for your legs, for example if your iron is low your legs will bruise easier, so stay up on your vitamins. Also staying hydrated will keep your legs soft and keep them from becoming ashy and dry.
