She Runs Free

Deborah Coss
She Runs Free
She walked, head held high,
Eyes upward toward the sky,
She throws back her golden mane.
She almost prances, almost dances,
And you can tell her spirit is high.
Many men have thought they could break her
Thrown a saddle upon her and tried to ride…
But she resists and, still runs free and unbroken.
Prized possession she would be, But she still runs free…
