Misconception #1: They trick you into home delivery every 90 days and never tell you about it, then they make it hard to cancel. This is partially true, and partially people not paying attention. If you order Sheer Cover from their website, it clearly states that once you order you will be automatically enrolled in their home delivery program, so they aren't hiding anything. I have cancelled my membership before, and they were great about it, it wasn't any hassle at all. If you cancel after you receive the introductory kit, but before you receive the first regular kit, you'll never be billed anything else. However if you don't cancel before they send out the regular member kit, you'll be billed a total of three $29.95+S&H payments. The regular kit is $89.95, and they break it up into 3 payments. I personally love that Sheer Cover breaks it up into 3 payments, because honestly I couldn't afford it otherwise.
Misconception #2: Sheer Cover looks cakey or powdery once you put it on. This is due to human error; if you apply the makeup correctly you shouldn't have this problem at all. The minerals in Sheer Cover are highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way, and women need to keep that in mind when switching from traditional liquid foundation to a powdered mineral foundation. I have no problem whatsoever with a cakey or powdery look. In fact, as the day wears on, my makeup looks even better, because it's melting with the oils of my skin.
Misconception #3:Sheer Cover doesn't offer any real coverage at all. For me this is absolutely ridiculous. I love the coverage that Sheer Cover offers. It looks natural, like my own skin, and yet at the same time covers all my flaws; acne, freckles, discolorations, and fine lines.
So those are the most common misconceptions I've seen out there. None of them have proved true, to me at least. So now I'm going to give all you questioning ladies out there a break down of some other truths about Sheer Cover.
When you order Sheer Cover, the cost is $29.95 plus shipping and handling. For that you will receive; 2 shades of foundation, 2 shades of concealer, a compact with 3 highlighters, 3 lip glosses, and one eyeliner, a powder brush, a contouring brush, a concealer brush, a moisturizer, a moisturizing cleanser, a tips and tricks DVD and booklet, a 6 day supply of bronzer, and a cute faux-patent leather makeup case, and a trial size tube of mascara, and lastly a container that holds concealer at the top and foundation at the bottom for you to throw in your purse for touch-ups.
If you stay in the home delivery program, you can customize your kit and get whatever you want, as often as you like, and you lock in the savings.
